On the way home from soccer games this afternoon we travelled through the barely there town of Atlasburg, Pennsylvania. It has a great little bulk food store, a post office, a VFW, a carwash, and a hotdog stand. And apparently it's a new fashion modeling hotspot? Some kind of modeling anyway.
When I glanced off into the brush and rusted out equipment on the side of the road I saw this photo shoot going on. I immediately turned around to do another drive-by and Sam snapped this photo as we passed. It's hard to convey just how weird this is if you're not familiar with the area, but then again, what the hell do I know about 'fashion' photography.

Hmmm. Maybe it's an "amateur" shoot? Wink wink? Like something destined for X-tube? Something about that tartan dress looks, well, tarty.
Well, it's definitely scenic.
OMG, that is so funny! Of course, I know quite well where that rusted hulk sits.
I wonder how many ticks they picked up in the effort.
And we won't even discuss the snakes.
Ew! I hadn't even thought about the ticks!
I'm with Becky: looks like something untoward is about to happen.
Either that, or this is a really bad undergrad art project. I seem to remember a whole category of earnest and untalented first-year art-school guys who thought they were on to something because they could pose a pretty girl juxtaposed with a rusty, decrepit something or other.
... Frankly, the x-tube scenario violates my sensibilities a little less.
lol, David!
Firstly I knew this would be something you'd 'appreciate.'
Secondly, that was exactly what I told my kids when they asked me why they were shooting pics of pretty girls next to rusty equipment. I'll take five dollar pictures all day.
Becky, I'd never heard of X-tube until your comment. I feel so wholesome, and no, I didn't go look it up. yet.
my word verification is 'putze'
I feel that in defense of my wholesomeness, I must say that I first heard of x-tube from David.
Snap!
