Lily asked me today if the groundhog saw his hole. My mind went all kinds of places so I just tried not to smirk. ' Said I didn't know and I also didn't correct her that it was his shadow, not his hole.
I can never remember which one means Spring anyway. Hole or no hole. :)

If he sees his hole, six more weeks of winter. If he doesn't, about a month and a half.
And this is too weird: my word verification is holesse. I kid you not.
Oh shoot, just look at the calendar, it's still Winter! Spring is months away. And as I say that, BT found daffodils about 3 inches tall in the snow today.
I don't think he saw his shadow
Gosh, I'd love to use that next year.
I heard six more weeks. Don't know if that's hole or no hole, either. But I'm with the folks above. It's February. (Cue major snow dump for the weekend.)
And I found tulips popping up this week. Tulips!
I think they should move Ground Hog Day to late March. Even the plants are jumping the gun, getting their hopes all up.
How can I not remember that? 6 weeks or a month and a half.
hey! Wait a minute, they're the same! But seriously, I say that every year.
My Nan said today that she told all her bulbs to 'get their heads back down under the ground, it's going to snow!'
And boy is it! How's the weather out there?
